A huge fan of early 80's pop group, Musical Youth, Richards appeared on an episode of Jim'll Fix It where Jim fixed it for Jim to meet the band's founder members; brothers Michael and Kelvin Grant. During the episode he contributed backing vocals to a charity version of a recording of the band's most successful single - Pass the Dutchie.
